Embarkation in Whittier

Our Princess ship leaves Whittier at 8:30 pm.  What time are we able to get onboard?

Boarding will start the same time it starts at other ports.

Thank you. Usually I choose an 11 am boarding time and have lunch onboard.  This is with a 3-5pm sail away.  I have never cruised when the ship left so late so was wondering if the turn around would be longer for some reason and boarding would not be until the afternoon.

Embarkation should start between 11 and 12, like normal ports.

 

The ship docks really early in Whittier (middle of the night - as they are very close to the port). They get people off really early in Whittier - they start at 6 am getting people on their cruise tours.

The late departure time is due to the fact that they have to wait for the train from Denali to arrive around 5:30pm.  Boarding is around noon and there is lunch in the buffet.

There is often lunch in one dining room also.
