JM0115 Posted April 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2023 (edited) Does anyone know what is the location that Azamara docks in the Port of Piraeus? We are looking at how we will get there from Athens. Edited April 17, 2023 by JM0115
Nightowl13 Posted April 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2023 We used Welcome pickups last October to go from airport to hotel and then hotel to cruise terminal. Highly recommend them. Another cruiser was overcharged by a regular taxi from their hotel to the cruise terminal

Download the Marine Traffic app and then on the morning of going to the ship do a search and find it on the map and you can show your driver where exactly it is. Useful with large ports like Piraeus. I've used it a lot of times on those occasions. Phil 3
Oslo Dutch Posted April 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Azamara usually docks at the Piraeus Cruise Terminal A. We disembarked there on April 8th and it's a fairly easy terminal. A taxi from the Terminal to our hotel Downtown near the Plaka and Syntagma Square was about 20 Euro incl. a large tip. You can also take the Metro, Piraeus Metro Station is close by.

There is a big board as drivers enter the town and most taxi drivers double check then as well

ArizonaAJ Posted July 25 #9 Share Posted July 25 We are getting off the Pursuit on Oct 19th 2024 and planning to immediately get on a ferry to Hydra. Looks like Terminal A to the ferry terminal is almost walkable.
Dynacruiser Posted July 26 #10 Share Posted July 26 If taking a taxi, make sure you clearly write on a piece of paper "AZAMARA CRUISE" and the address in Piraeus. Very clearly in BLOCK LETTERS. This is something I do in every destination when taking a taxi. One time, a taxi driver in Athens (and other cities) didn't speak English (he probably didn't even speak Greek), but he stopped, I wrote the destination and he took me there. In Athens, I prefer to take Uber. Uber was very reliable, most were young drivers who spoke English, but I read that they only have Uber taxi now. Still is preferable so the driver know your destination, it's paid directly, you can add tip, and you have a contact info in case you forget something.. deadzone1003 Posted July 26 #11 Share Posted July 26 It is likely to be cruise terminal A, but if it is one of those days where there might be 6-8 ships docking, you could be in 1 of 3 spots as depicted on the map earlier. On the morning of embarkation, use cruisemapper.com to find where the ship is physically.

We've used Pireaus many times and have been to all the terminals. We did the exact same once, disembark and ferry immediately to Hydra. No way we would have walked with bags...long trek.

I couldn’t imagine dragging bags in the heat for the sake of 10 euro taxi
