I totally agree with you, but we have been on three Princess cruises in the last 18 months,  and apart from the easily avoided art sales (just why do people but that tat ?) we have not experienced anything you have mentioned.

No annoying photographers? No useless cheap things to buy in the sidewalk sales(like cheap watches & stuff)? Then again our last Princess trip was at the beginning of the pandemic. Quite a few pax with the Flu(or so we were told, uh huh, yeah right)

We were on Sky in April and were somewhat bemused by the offerings in the MDR. (See my highly rated "Jottings" post for full details).

.

Highly rated, was it?  Link?

We will be doing the Sky this summer out of Southampton.  I'm interested to see if the regional things you mention here will turn up.  I'm also hoping for a full English in the morning.  (I had a British grandparent.  I like the food.)

I think you should only comnent if you have cruised on Princess in the last two years.

Things change, and reporting on what happened four years ago is unhelpful.

New York Times  - "Well written in depth critique"

Sydney Herald- "A pom speaks it as it is "

Le Monde - "Magnifique"

Times  - " Rarely have I read such an erudite review"

EXACTLY!!!!

And your point is ?

Mass produced food is never going to look overly pretty, although it is easier with starters and desserts.

If you want artistically arranged meat and delicately alligned asparagus, pay extra, and eat in a specialty restaurant.

The only issue with the meal shown in the photograph is the lack of vegetables, and under reduction of the jus (or gravy, as us Brits would say).

It is very disappointing to me that so many of these posts mention taste and presentation but none say anything about where your food is sourced.

A bad meal can be put behind quickly, but a badly sourced meal can be with you for years.
