The article says "All gratuities -- including for guides and bus drivers for land tours—are also included."  This isn't true of AMA Waterways in general [maybe this was different because of NatGeo, or different inclusions for British passengers?]

 

Also learned that NatGeo is now owned by Disney.  Seems like a strange combination.
