I was just thinking about ordering a cake for our anniversary, so I'm happy to see this topic.

Alternatively, was thinking about the chocolate chip cookies if anyone has any experience with those.

The chocolate cake we had was very good....very tasty and moist. All our gang loves the CCL chocolate chip cookies. They look rather "common" but taste good. Especially warm.

I loved them before covid! Everything seems to have changed since then so not sure if they are the same.

Nope the "frosting" on the outside is different now.  The chocolate doesn't have that great fudgy ganache it had before.  Still good though.

We ordered a welcome aboard cake for some friends cruising for the first time.  They wanted to wait til the end of the cruise (7 days) to cut it. When we finially cut it, it was spoiled.  I don't mean stale, I mean spoiled.  We did not know it was supposed to be refridgerated.  Lesson learned.  Other cakes we have order were very good.
