To be fair, they should have picked up on the potential problem. Perhaps you should have a word with them !

That’s part of their job to make sure you are aware of every document that is required including passports. This is not entirely your fault. Your TA should have had your back and I would be extremely disappointed if this were my TA.

No, but when we book, our TA always goes through our passport details. As has been said by @Lady Arwen that is part of their remit. Your TA has been severely lacking.

Your TA doesn’t need to examine your passport but they do need to explain the cruiseline’s policies regarding your passport and most importantly to ask if your passport will be considered valid. You were let down by your TA, sorry to say.
Steoh Posted July 31 #32 Share Posted July 31 Hi … did you get allowed on the princess cruise with 5 months left on passport?
westcoaster Posted July 31 #33 Share Posted July 31 Not exactly the same situation as the OP, but I was on a trans-Pacific cruise from Japan to Vancouver earlier this year. The information from Princess gave the standard line that passports must have 6 months validity, even though neither the U.S. nor Canada (the two other countries visited on this cruise) required it. I was able to use my passport with 5 months left on it, no problem. No one said anything at check in.
