NCteacherlovescruising Posted May 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2023 (edited) We just booked yesterday and did our online check-in today. They did not give us a port arrival time. What is the earliest we should arrive? I’m always anxious to get on the ship as soon as possible! I did see where there is a special tent for YC guests and that we have our own waiting area, but no details on check-in or boarding times. We sailed YC on MERAVIGLIA in January out of Port Canaveral, there were several groups late debarking. This caused boarding to be after noon for YC and non YC. Also, YC embark area, unless they changed, is just an extension of the main boarding area, separated by a low wall.

I always like to get there, everywhere really, early. We will have a 90 minute drive, without traffic, so we’ll most likely leave around 8:30 and not worry about traffic conditions. They don’t have nicer seating in the YC waiting area? Celebrity does so I just expected it. And I thought I saw a video where they were serving Champaign while passengers were waiting there. kelleherdl Posted May 16, 2023 #9 Share Posted May 16, 2023 (edited) The Yacht Club check in area of Terminal 10 at Port Canaveral is not purpose built. MSC sails from an older terminal that never had a proper VIP area. Please don’t let that turn you off. If you arrive at Terminal 10 after about 10:00 you will not be spending much time there. As soon as the ship is open for boarding you will be promptly escorted to the Topsail Lounge on the ship. The Terminal 10 area does have light refreshments, including sparkling wine, if you desire, for the short stay there. If you see the design concepts for the new MSC constructed terminal at Port Miami you will be wowed by what MSC will have for YC guests. Those of us who often sail MSC from Port Canaveral can’t wait for the announcement that MSC will build its own terminal there. Unfortunately, it looks like Galveston will get the next new MSC terminal in the US. Edited May 16, 2023 by kelleherdl
