On display in multiple locations on the ship is the Flag of the Republic of Venice. Per Wikipedia, The Flag of the Republic of Venice, commonly known as the Banner or Standard of Saint Mark, was the symbol of the Republic of Venice, until its dissolution in 1797. Its main charge was the Lion of Saint Mark, symbolizing Mark the Evangelist, the patron saint of Venice.

We love it.

Overall what do you think of this ship & the quality of the food?
How does it compare to NCL or Royal?

I've been on many cruises & love it, but all on NCL & Royal Caribbean.

My very first cruise was on Carnival & it was so bad I didn't cruise again for 11 years. I am giving it another shot after 22 years...hope it's gotten better!

As I posted before, no regrets. The ship is great, and I'm sure the ice situation will be resolved quickly.

No issues with the quality of food. Only a couple of dishes that were disappointing. Food is highly subjective.

I usually don't cruise on RCL or NCL because I flat out don't like them.

Checked in for dining at 8:20, table was ready at 8:25. Done with dinner in under 60 minutes.

Looks like they ran out of lobster - a temporary situation - the ship doesn't run out of lobster. They have to guess a couple of days in advance how many might be needed and thaw that amount. If they thaw too many, they go to waste. They can always pull more out of the freezer and cook them, but it takes a little while.

Oooh what time does the late night buffet end?

It is most, if not every night, midnight-1:30am. Last night there were people elegantly dressed and people not so elegantly dressed.
