Wine collections and an OBC question.

Our cruise on QV is fast approaching. I have a couple more questions which I’m sure you will be able to help with - you haven’t let me down yet.

We will be purchasing a Captain’s or Commodore’s wine collection, how does this work? Do we have to select all wines in advance? Where do we order it? I understand we are given a booklet but haven’t gleaned anything else.

How does OBC work? Does it just get deducted from our bill at the end of the trip or do we have to allocate it to a specific purchase?

Thanks very much everyone 😊

re the Wine packages ( which I am a very big fan of 👍)  No need to select all the wines at once,  you will be issued with a booklet from which you tear out a voucher and hand it to 'your Sommelier' whenever you need a bottle replenished  .

A book of vouchers, payment and a list of the wines on offer for either Captain's or Commodore selection  are available on the 'set up tables in the public areas on Embarkation day ' or from any Sommelier in the Lido  or your personal Sommelier in the main restaurants.

re OBC, your obc  will be deducted from your onboard account each time you present your key card for 'any purchases'  eg  bars, wine packages , Spa treatments, Shoreside tours etc ( unable to use for the Casino)

Hi Bell Boy,

Thank you for your swift response. The next big question is Commodore or Captain’s selection 😅

We always get one of the wine packages - which one, depends on what wines are listed and how flush we are feeling, The Commodore's was always my preference since it offered a bottle of port, which Jane really likes with a cheese course, and could eke that out over a couple of weeks, but that hasn't been there on the last couple of cruises and a dessert wine has taken it's place,
