Dusk at Tivoli Gardens?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone give an approximate time that it gets dark in Copenhagen in early July - we will be there July 4th and want to see Tivoli Gardens in the dark. We have to be back onboard for 930p. How far is the port from Tivoli - can we do this on our own by taxi?

Sunset is just before 10 pm. No dusk before you are be back at the ship.

It is 30 minutes by taxi from Tivoli to Oceankaj (assuming Oceankaj - might also be Langelinie).

Use The Tivoli exit next to Central station and the taxi stand.

Is it true that there are fire works at night in Tivoli Gardens??

No it is not true - fireworks every Saturday at 11:30pm - in addition there are fireworks on 4th July and 15th August.

Friday evening in Tivoli be aware.

Friday evening at 10 pm there is Friday rock - so there are many people in the garden. Avoid Friday night.

It can also be difficult to get a table at a restaurant

If your cruise departs from Copenhagen, one option is to stay at the  Radisson Blu Royal if you are in Copenhagen on a Saturday night, where we had an amazing view of the fireworks right from our hotel room.  You need to ask for a room with a view of Tivoli Gardens.

There was a question on our roll call as to whether you would be able to see the fireworks from the ship?  We overnight on the 4th but the fireworks are pretty late for some.

Assuming you dock at Oceankaj - the answer is absolutely no. It’s about 8 km (5 miles) from Tivoli.
Might dock at Langelinie - still 4 km (2.5 miles) from Tivoli.

The fireworks is designed to be viewed from the garden.
