Maplemoose Posted June 12, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2023 I don't want one, just a shower. So what staterooms should I avoid?
Maplemoose Posted June 12, 2023 Author #2 Share Posted June 12, 2023 To clafify my question, I am not talkinh about specific staterooms. I am referring to classes of cabins, eg, balcony, large balcony or club balcony.,

As a somewhat general rule, avoid the rooms that are listed as "Family" (whichever category), since they quite often have tubs.
bkrickles1 Posted June 12, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2023 As said previously, a "family" listing usually means there's a tub. For example, last summer on Joy we had a family club balcony suite. The bathroom, which is terrific, had a large shower/tub combination. This summer, we're going back on Joy and will be in a regular Club Balcony Suite, which will have a large walk in shower. gmbhardy Posted June 12, 2023 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2023 We’ve stayed in many family club balcony suites and have never had a tub. Always a walk in shower, which is the reason we booked them.
Pitzel Posted June 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2023 When in doubt, go to YouTube and seek out videos from specific stateroom categories or specific room numbers. The cabin walk-through videos usually show the bathrooms. That will be far more accurate than anything you will ready on a CC forum.

This summer we booked a regular club balcony and it has the large walk in shower. Looking at the Joy deck plans and the codes, I believe all the family club balconies have that shower/tub combo. On what ships did you stay in family club balconies?
Mommapadraig Posted June 13, 2023 #8 Share Posted June 13, 2023 Our CC was able to tell which rooms had tubs versus showers.
