How close to embarkation can I add extra dining package?

I am going to add the extra 2 meals to our reservation.

Since I just set the credit card on fire booking excursions, hotels & transfers I'll wait until closer for that.

Is there a date when they "close" those bookings? (a week before? 3 days?)

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE A SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE?

Online in our "Dining" section at ncl.com/myncl or through Norwegian Reservations at 1-866-234-7350. Once onboard you may also purchase it on the first two days of your cruise by calling or visiting any Restaurant Reservations Desk. For three and four-day cruises, this package may only be purchased on the first day of your cruise.

Purchasing the upgrade (extra 2 meals pp for $82.80) may have a different schedule than purchasing the package (2 meal package 118.80 pp).

Personally, I'd do it sooner rather than later. The price is not likely to go down, but it could most certainly go up.

yes, the upgrade price has to be purchased before the cruise and I believe it's up to 24 hours before.  BTW, did the price go up?  It used to be $70

$69 plus gratuity = $82.80

yes, it went up.  It use to be $70 after the taxes.  Either that, or it's priced per cruise
