His and Her Formal Night Questions!?!?!

This is our first cruise in 10 years! We just booked last week for April 3rd. It is 5 night on the Celebrity Zenith.

 

We are really not "dress up" people. Will my husband feel out of place not wearing a tux? He has a Dark Suit.

 

for me, I was MOH in my sisters wedding is this too wedding-ish looking? I would like honest opinions.

 

 

 

it is red satin. Which is why I feel it may be to bridesmaid-ish

I don't think it looks too bridesmaidish at all. Just don't carry a bouquet of flowers with you and you'll be all set. :)

I think the red looks GREAT on you! When I think of bridesmaid's dresses, I think more lavender, lilac, soft pink, periwinkle, you know? The red looks fabulous...enjoy dressing up!

 

Oh, and about the dark suit - Quite a few men will be wearing them. I don't think your hubby will feel out of place at all.

I love the red dress and think it is perfect!

 

Hubby will be fine in a dark suit.

 

Another way to dress up a dark suit is with a white shirt (no button down collar) and a silver or black satin tie. Looks especially nice with black pinstripes.

You will see more dark suits than tuxes on men, so he will fit right in. The dress is beautiful! I don't think it looks like a bridesmaid's dress at all--love the color.
