pvpollock Posted June 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2023 I'll admit, I usually don't do upcharge dining on cruises but this is our first Carnival trip. Any opinion if the Cat in the Hat breakfast is worth going to? Obviously its a specific fixed menu with wacky food, I figure if its worthwhile then its because the experience factor. Sailing on Pride July 9th 2023. Thanks
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted June 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2023 We've done it before and our now 14 and 11 year old specifically asked to go. They last went 3 years ago.
Rare sparks1093 Posted June 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2023 We enjoyed the experience and felt that it was worth it. The kiddos we were with were younger (3 to 6 maybe). It depends on what your 11 and 9 year old thing- are they into Dr. Seuss and the Cat?
Rare Roz Posted June 22, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2023 I went as an adult and thought it was fun.
MississippiMom Posted June 22, 2023 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2023 We went in 2019, because of my young nephews who were traveling with us. We all LOVED it! It’s definitely an experience thing. (Although my food was yummy, too!). We made reservations again for this summer’s cruise, and none of my kids are little.
hurricane0226 Posted June 23, 2023 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2023 Took our 5 yo. DGD, and 13 you DGS. they both enjoyed it, but my wife and I really enjoyed it, just seeing the smiles on their faces as they ate the green eggs and ham, as they say it in the commercial "Priceless".
ProvoAggie Posted June 23, 2023 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2023 I had never done specialty dining before but we did this breakfast on the Mardi Gras in January. It's a lot of fun. I have 10 year old twins that loved it. We're booked for it again on Celebration in September. There is a good selection of wacky food with some normal stuff as well plus the decorations and characters.
