Tru by Hilton Fort Lauderdale Airport in Dania Beach

Has anyone stayed there before or after a cruise.   Comments welcome on how it was..

Stayed before last year---it was fine!  Uber to & from.

Stayed there for a night in February, basic accommodation but adequate for a night. Used the free hotel shuttle from FLL to the hotel. There's nothing of interest in the immediate vicinity but a sports bar and grill across the street from the hotel served reasonable food and drinks.

The Tru brand presents itself as basic hospitality.  My wife and I have stayed in several of them.  No frills, but clean, free parking, OK free breakfast.

I haven’t stayed yet but we are staying before our cruise and I read a lot of reviews. From the reviews, it seems it is about expectations. Seems some folks only saw the Hilton and missed that it is a sub-brand. Don’t expect the Hilton experience and it seems you will be fine.
