This is from today's Daily Programme on the QM2. We disembark on Friday.

From another thread. It may not help you if you are travelling on another ship.

Well found. What an excellent solution - couldn't be easier and cheap as chips.

We’re doing a very similar trip.  We’re on a TA from Ft. Lauderdale to Rome in April 2024 and taking the QM2 westbound to NYC in June.   We’re on the ground about 7 weeks.   There is no way we’re carrying around formal wear for 7 weeks.  Our plan is to pack a luggage before we leave the US with our formal wear and send with Luggage Forward.  The company has received pretty good reviews from people here.   The only hiccup for us is that we can’t give the bag to Luggage Forward before we leave in April, since it’s too soon.  So, we’ll likely leave the bag with a family member.

By far the best solution

Just off QE.  We found the theme night formal were less fancy than we were led to believe.  There were many nice dresses, suits for men and we even saw people wandering the ship in the evening in casual wear.  Masquerade night I’d say no more than 10% wore a mask.  Going on QV next year so have a better idea of what to expect.

This has all been very useful information, especially the link for the Marks & Spencer formal wear option.

Like many others, we are flying to Britain and then taking a QM2 crossing back and are lookin for options for clothing that we will only be using on the crossing.

My son in law has a perfectly acceptable dinner suit from M &S . Stock in store can be hit and miss these days. Your best bet is to order for in store collection at West Quay. You can specify the date and they hold things for a week so pick a date a few days before you will be in Southampton.   If you need to order several options you can try them all on in store and then refund straight away what  you don’t want.
