Rare welshfamily Posted July 12, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2023 We have completed our on line check in and got our boarding passes however the terminal and cruise port have yet to be decided. We embark in Lisbon in under 3 weeks. There are two cruise ports in Lisbon, quite some distant apart . How will we find out which cruise port our ship will dock in? Does Regent send an email the morning of embarkation? Is this normal? Thanks

Rare welshfamily Posted July 12, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted July 12, 2023 The boarding passes have cruise port and terminal yet to be decided on them. We have never come across this before. Can understand the terminal might not yet have been allocated but cannot understand why the cruise port hasn’t. Lisbon has two cruise ports approx 4 miles apart. That’s is why we have posted … how we will find out where to Embark.
Portolan Posted July 12, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2023 Most cruise terminals have on-line schedules of ships and specific dock locations. While these are arranged (usually) months in advance, last minute changes can happen if there is some kind of disruption. I usually check the day before just as a "trust, but verify" for the Regent-supplied location. I doubt you'll have to wait until the day you board to hear from Regent with the specifics. seasickphil Posted July 12, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 12, 2023 We board Splender on the 26th, our TA emailed us the final summary just over a week ago, this included our embarkation port and ocean terminal. You would think Regent would have that information to hand this close to departure. You could give the UK office a call to see if they can help. It would have been helpful if you had posted your embarkation date and ship. If you'll be sailing on the Mariner on August 2nd, the Porto de Lisboa site shows she will be docked at CAIS DE STª APOLONIA/TERMINAL DE PASSAGEIROS...Passenger Terminal Santa Apólonia. Rare welshfamily Posted July 14, 2023 Author #8 Share Posted July 14, 2023 Thank you. That is our ship and sail date. We have already goggled this information which is for the 1st of August. However the cruise before has an overnight in Lisbon and the private transfer company says the ship will not overnight at the passenger terminal because of capacity issues and if this is not the case you would think Regent would know this ( or the other way around) …. If you follow me. Lisbon seems to be a popular embarkation port this year. Hence our need for more information. Regent Uk do not know why the details are not yet known. Our hotel is close to Santa Apolonia and we can stroll and see if the ship is there. We may be better getting a taxi instead of a booked car and then it will not matter where the ship is as the concierge in the hotel will probably be able to find out. Just curious as to why this information is not known.

Last year on Voyager we docked in Lisbon Cruise Port - Jardim do Tabaco Quay which was only a 10/15 min easy walk from Praça do Comércio Square all on the flat, Santa Apolonia Terminal is right next door only about 5/10 mins walk further along. We also overnighted before disembarking and we certainly were not moved, 2 other ships were in port as well, that day. I believe only Ventura along with Mariner arrive on the 1st therefore leaving Mariner the only ship in port on the 2nd, so i would not expect capacity to be an issue.
