We know it's odfly shaped and has two windows. It is a DA class...for a Panama Canal cruise.  Good choice?

It's very close to the passage to an outside deck! Good for viewing in the Canal, and for ducking back inside when the muggy heat gets to you.

If you're good with the forward location on the parts of the cruise NOT in the Canal... It may be 'rockier' than midship.

Although I prefer a veranda, in going through the Canal itself, you are going to want to be outside watching, so for that portion of the cruise, an oceanview doesn't really matter.  Yes it will have a bit more movement than an amidships cabin, and one issue that might come up is letting light out at night.  We were on a ship with a forward-facing veranda, and they insisted that if we had any white lights on, that we kept the curtains completely closed at night.
