mirrs20 Posted July 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Hi, We have a late flight back to the Caribbean when we disembark from our Alaska cruise in Seattle. We are thinking to spend some time at the Westfield Mall and wanted to know what is the best way to get there from the airport. Thinking to use Seattle Express to get to the airport and use the luggage hold service (saw this on another board) and go to the mall. Is public transport, like the light rail an easy option to get to the mall and back to the airport ? Thanks for your feedback.
Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted July 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Light rail doesn't go to Southcenter Mall. Probably the easiest is an Uber or cab as it is just a few miles away. You might look at the Metro (bus) site and use their trip planner.
Glaciers Posted July 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) There is a free shuttle, but I don’t know much about it. Check this site for more info. https://www.seattlesouthside.com/plan-your-trip/transportation/land-travel/taxis-shuttles-limos/shuttle-service/ This site might be helpful to for things to do at SeaTac. https://www.portseattle.org/sea-tac/things-to-do Edited July 22, 2023 by Glaciers 2

techteach Posted July 23, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2023 How about sending your luggage using the port valet? That would allow you to skip going to Sea Tac and then going back down the hill to South Center Mall. Take an Uber to the Museum of Flight, then another Uber to the mall.

Does the port valet apply to international flights? I thought it was just a service for flights within the US. Because finding a secure option for our luggage is a major factor. There is a stop right below the Nordstrom flagship store. The Westlake Center is close by and you can simply enjoy the downtown area before returning to the airport. Other options from the Westlake Center include taking the monorail to the Seattle Center and its attractions like the Space Needle. You could also get off at the International district. If you are set on going to Southcenter, just take a cab/Uber. Edited July 25, 2023 by SelectSys
