yogimax Posted July 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2023 We're leaving this Saturday on an Alaskan cruise on Eurodam and the app lists no formal nights. Every night is designated "smart casual." Is this correct? Has Holland America done away with formal nights on Alaskan cruises. If so, it makes packing a little easier.

No, there are still a couple of dressy nights (the new name). the Navigator app won’t change to the dress code for the different evenings until you board. That's odd... doesn't help one pack, does it? Edited July 26, 2023 by yogimax

If your cruise is 7 days long then there are 2 dressy nights (used to be called formal). It’s as dressy as you like as you long as you dress nicely. No tux or jacket required unless you want to wear one. seems to me the # always showed on my express docs but my memory can be short 😉

Keep in mind that you can still dress to the nines but the minimum dress code for males is a collared shirt. Very few men in tux and same with long gowns. It is probably even more lax in Alaska. It’s your choice and your cruise so be happy.
