Cinque Terre on a Sunday

Instead of waiting in line at the train station to purchase a Cinque Terre Pass, we downloaded the app and purchased our tickets on line.  Saved a lot of time.  Headed straight to the train.

Most venues should be open  in September.

I've visited on a Sunday and found most of the restaurants, shops and venues were open.   If I recall some shops didn't open until noon.    We also did it on our own via train and loved our outing.

A Sunday in August - particularly around the 15th of the month - I would venture that nothing will be open. Italy is on holidays - tourists be damned - especially during Ferragosto.

CT derives most of its income from tourists. It doesn't shut down all day on Sundays during the tourist season. September, even late September, is still high season there. At worst, some places will be closed in the morning.
