Markanddonna Posted August 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2023 Is the weather in Scotland much different in late April versus mid May? Three weeks difference. I am trying to decide between two transatlantic sailings. Thanks.
Rare Harters Posted August 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2023 You'd hope it should be a little better in May. But it's going to be marginal for a three week difference, IMO. And, as ever with our spring weather, unpredictable and changeable.

sddsddean Posted August 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2023 I f you ever want to start a conversation with anyone in the UK, talk about the weather. No guarantee either way. It could be anything from blazing sunshine to 2 feet of snow! (well, a couple of inches anyway!) Simon

The probability of better weather is a bit greater in mid-May. But in any one year, it could easily be significantly worse. Sorry, in advance, if it is!
