QM2 Embarkation day lunch options

I will be embarking on a QM2 cruise soon out of Southampton, Queens Grill, and wondering what will be open for lunch. I have a fairly early arrival time allocated. I have previously done a TA out of New York and had a great lunch in the Golden Lion ~ I wasn't in the Grills on that trip, and didn't explore other dining options. So what can I expect to be open for lunch? Thanks.

QG will be open. Lido, and pub.

The Grill restaurants are open for lunch on embarkation day.

I believe their opening hours are extended too on embarkation

And it gives you a chance to look at your table and try and get moved if you don’t like it.

And if embarkation is on time, Grills are usually open 1-2.30 on embarkation day.

Just bear in mind other tables will have been allocated so don't be too disappointed if your request is declined.

When I’ve been on QM2 recently, there have been a surprising number of people wanting to move. So, it has been easy to swap, if not to a table next to a window.

I honestly don't mind where I'm allocated... just happy to be on holiday and cruising 😄

We were lucky on our first time moving up to PG on QM2 in June. We had a nice two top, one table away from the window. The window table had a couple on a 35 night cruise and I’ll was glad they got a window table. We still had nice outdoor views and wonderful service. 
I thought being a first time PG’er that we’d get placed in the inside island area so I was happy.

We’ve had a window 2-top and a one away from the window 2-top. I think I actually preferred the one away. I liked having people on both sides of us and we didn’t feel like people were watching us.
