TMLAalum Posted August 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2023 Thanks to a previous query that was answered on this forum, we plan on spending some of our 5+ hour layover enjoying the Sunken Lounge at the hotel. Their website is unclear re :our situation. We arrive from CLE at Terminal 8 at noon. AA #44 to CDG departs from there at 5:35pm. The hotel website's FAQ spoke to international travelers having to go thru customs, but domestic transferees only thru security again. Domestic-domestic-international pax were not addressed. I am thinking for us, we leave Terminal 8, take the Airtrain to Terminal 5, walk to the hotel for lunch, then take Airtrain back to Terminal 8 where we do need to go thru security as we did out of CLE. Correct?

Correct? Yes, you'll be leaving the secure area so you will need to re-clear security. Doesn't matter if you're flying to Paris, Papeete, or Pittsburgh...security will be involved. fbgd Posted August 16, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2023 In addition to what others have said I wouldn't follow the path into Terminal 5. If you go down the elevators from the AirTrain to the ground level you can walk into the parking garage slightly and then across the parking in front of the TWA Hotel and into the front door. It's far quicker than going into Terminal 5 and then having to loop back and around.
