Dress code for restaurants (Moorea and Tahiti)

I know not exactly "cruise" related (well it is because it would be for prior to a cruise 😀) but as there are many repeat travelers to Tahiti, might anyone tell me if there is a dress code at restaurants (like Rudys on Moorea for example) - are shorts and t-shirt (nice one) OK for men or would it be long pants and polo (I don't think so but best to ask)

Thank you for any help

I wear long pants in the evening to minimize mosquito bites.  At Rudy's many wear shorts, sandals and tee shirts.  I wear long pants and a nicer shirt.  You will not be out of place with shorts and any shirt you want at the restaurants on Moorea.

Thank you so much @FlightMedic555

I never felt underdressed anywhere in French Polynesia with long pants and collared shirt. Even at Villa Mahan, the fiinest restaurant on Bora Bora, people were in shorts! Its the tropics. Unless your on a boat with "Formal" nights (not what I'd recommend) leave your "dress" shirts and slacks at home.
