ace1zoe2 Posted August 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Are you meaning Slot Pull that is organized by a fellow cruiser? Or do you mean an actual Slot Tournament put on by the Casino?

Coralc Posted August 18, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2023 $140. It was a small group, and one person hit $1000 on WofF machine. ☺️
Miloomar Posted August 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Most of the time the real winner of a slot pull is the person who's card is being used... they are using a dozen other people's money to get a free cruise for them self. Maybe you'll win a couple bucks, but they are winning thousands just for "organizing" it

Maybe you'll win a couple bucks, but they are winning thousands just for "organizing" it the best ones are on NCL, because their casino program doesn't really operate the same as Royals and points aren't as important. So usually the organizer has someone who is Canadian or something put in their card so that if a handpay is hit, they don't have to take taxes out of it, or no card is used.

And we all had a wonderful time. 😊And I've never even worried about the card thing. It is an activity. I'm never going to have enough points to get anything. It is just called gambling, not winning. Takes a bit of effort to organize and I certainly have no desire to be the one who runs one. Of course, there are plenty who will whine that 'I didn't get the points, wah....'.

All the participants were sitting on slot chairs waiting to spin, blocking walking spaces and people couldn't play the slots around the slot machine they were playing. my 2 cents, they are just annoying

I have actually left the casino during them because they crowd around and bump into your seat if you happen to be near the event. Easier to just come back later. As for the points, I try for 4000 a cruise to get a decent cabin for my next one. Sometimes I only make it to 3000 and occasionally I get 6500 on my budgeted money. So I prefer to keep my points. I also have certain machines I like to play and they are not the ones they use for the slot pulls generally. I do wish they would post the times and locations of them somewhere though for those who like to avoid them.
