When Do the Humback Whales Migrate into Mexican & Hawaiian Waters

 Yes  it is not to happen for a long time now & maybe never for Lahania .time will tell all  .Just hope to be seeing them at the other ports  in Hawaii

January and February are whale season. They mainly are found in west Maui. You should be able to see some around the west coast of the Island of Hawaii as well. 

Actually the whale watch operators season starts in mid December, and runs to about April 10. Smaller numbers of whales are present outside of that season.

 

If the OP's ship stops at Kahului, they could do whale watch trips out of Ma'alaea Harbor to the Wailea area. There will be some whales there.
