I saw a picture on another social media site of a new parking garage being built.  It seemed to be for Royal Caribbean's Terminal 1.  Does anyone know about a new parking garage for Termina 1?

I also posted this question on the Florida Departures Board.

They are doing work on the surface parking area across from the garage, but not sure whether that will eventually go vertical as an additional garage.

Was at the terminal  two weeks ago  on Independence and saw  new surface lots  under construction at terminal 1. The old paved lot on south side across street has been extended  on west end. The old grass lot on west  side has been  paved and fenced  and spaces marked but still under construction . Does anyone know whether they will be pay on entry or the slow process of pay at exit?

The additional garages are being built for the west side of the port.   Terminal 1 has additional parking being paved across the street.

Thanks -- which terminals are on the west side of the port?

More commonly the port is described as a north and south side as the channel runs east to west and one must cross a draw bridge to get from side A-NORTH to side B-SOUTH  5,6 & 10 are all on the NORTH side .... and technically they ARE WEST of the B-South terminals 1,2 & 3  Signage reflects the A and B labels as each side has its own entrance  😎

We had to park outside once and we had to pre-pay before we could take a space.  i think there was an attendant taking payment.
