looking for hotel near the Amtrak station in Seattle?

When we travel by Amtrak to/from Seattle and have to spend the night, we like to stay at the Embassy Suites next door.  It is very close to the station--walk out the front door and walk about 25-30 yards to the hotel.  It's pricey but certainly worth the convenience especially if you're arriving at night.

We've also taken the light rail from the airport to the Kings Station.  We do travel lightly so have been able to tote our own bags easily.

It is very pricy at the Embassy and if you are there when there is a sporting event or concert going on it may sell out early since all the stadiums are there as well. We stay downtown which is no more than a 5-10 min cab ride away and a better choice of restaurants

you can ride the link rail from the airport into the core downtown where you have a wealth of choices for hotels.  Easy enough to return to the train station the next day.  Or you can make use of Uber/Lyft/taxi .  If you wish to stay right at King Street then the two hotels mentioned are your choice.  Do pay attention to game day or special concert events at the stadiums close by, as mentioned.  Being further uptown you are also closer to places of interest to enjoy if you have time.

sit on the left hand side of the train for best views on your journey north
