Txfinds007 Posted September 8, 2023 #1 Posted September 8, 2023 kindly give some overview of this cruise, is it save for travelling with 3 and 6 year kids?
BaumD Posted September 8, 2023 #2 Posted September 8, 2023 Is it safe, YES. Is it recommended, NO. ACL has no provisions for kids. No kids program, no kids meals, Doubtful they would even have a high chair for a 3 year old. The average age on ACL is 70+ and young kids would not fit in. 1
LDVinNC Posted September 8, 2023 #3 Posted September 8, 2023 Agree with BaumD. Safe, yes, but appropriate, no. I was on the American Eagle last week and I'd guess the youngest people I saw were 50ish. Nothing for kids to do. 1

That must have been the first (or nearly the first) cruise on a "Coastal Cat." (Sorry txfinds007 for the off-topic question.) This is the first post I've seen re the Eagle, and just curious if the experience was satisfactory.
Txfinds007 Posted September 13, 2023 Author #5 Posted September 13, 2023 It feels that you can not enjoy with kids on a cruise ship, I think it's better to enjoy a vacation with kids somewhere else.
BaumD Posted September 13, 2023 #6 Posted September 13, 2023 There are many cruise lines that are kid friendly, and are an ideal vacation for families. It just so happens that American cruise lines is not one of those. 2
