They can be used in both, but you have to specify.

Speak to whoever is in the casino cashier cage.

For table games they give you promo chips.

For slots, they load the amount to your bracelet.

The cashier will explain everything.

What happens if we don’t use all the loot loaded to the bracelet?

You can only cash-out your winnings, not un-played loot.

Just trying to clarify.  I’ve never had loot before, but will on our New Years trip.

For the slots, can’t you load it into a machine, play a few spins, print out the ticket and bring it to the cage and cash in your ticket?

You can only cash out the winnings, not the loot that hasn’t been played. So if you load $20, play $10 and win $15 you can cash out the $15 leaving $10 loaded for future play.

Thanks for the clarification.  Sounds complicated.  😂

Not really, you just cannot convert unused Loot for cash. It's a use it or lose it proposition just like onboard credit on any other cruise line. You cannot convert on board credit into cash, you must spend it on the ship.

When you say "promo" chips, would these be the types that if you placed a bet and won that they would "rake" the promo chip and leave you with the winning bet? Or would you continue to hold that promo chip for further bets?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the return on my sailor loot that I do not intend to "spend" on onboard activities.  So, my thought was to place bets on both red/black (knowing the chance of green hitting), and assuming it hit red or black then I would "net" the bet. This is assuming that I retain the original promo...If they rake the promo chip then I would be down my single bet each time.  Hopefully I'm thinking of this correctly and I may be over thinking it!! So any clarity that could be provided is appreciated...

you'd continue to bet with that promo chip until you lost it.  you can take all of your winnings though, as those are awarded in normal non-promo chips

Thank you. As long as you retain the promo chip with a win then this should work. I know at our local casinos where it is true promo chip they will take that promo chip with a win so that was why I was asking. Thanks!

Good info.  I’ve seen people playing with promo chips but wasn’t sure how it works.  I’m a BJ player.  Seems like a good way to use up extra loot.  Seems more straightforward than trying to play it on the slots.  May even try roulette with some of the Monopoly money!
