Does Club Orange need to be paid at time of booking?

I recently held a cruise and the hold was for 5 days. Another one I held was only for 1 day. I’m not sure why. Both were past final payment. (Making sure we could get flights on points before finalizing).

Did you have 9 other cruises on hold at the same time?

 Honey, I booked a cruise. "I don't want to go". Ok, well, I do, so I'm going to hold it.
