fordpickup Posted September 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2023 I tried to be diligent but I couldn't find this information on the interwebz. Could someone let me know if these two things are true: 1. On the Millennium there was a florist on Deck 11. If so...are there pictures? 2. The tiled area on Solstice Class ships between the Mast Bar and Mast Grill was a waterfall (or water feature) (this is the area directly above the pool bar). Again, are there pics? Sorry, I hear weird "in the before times" rumors and I nerd out and have to know if they're true.
Rare mahdnc Posted September 21, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2023 You are referring to the Conservatory which occupied Decks 10 and 11. The Conservatory had places to sit, a spiral staircase, and (of course) a shop which sold fresh flowers and exclusive (and expensive) artificial floral arrangements by Emilio Robba. Here is an old archived Cruise Critic thread about Millennium's Conservatory: link Here are some photos that I took during our only cruise on Millennium in Jun 2007. Deck 10 entrance view of the Conservatory Ceiling detail above the cashier station (visible on the left side of the 1st photo) The white sign on the counter is a fresh flower price list. 12 roses for $60, 6 roses for $35. Large Bouquet $80, Medium Bouquet $60, Small Bouquet $40. Corsage $20. Boutonniere $10. Claritin $5 (okay, I made up the Claritin part). This is the Deck 11 space of the Conservatory. Looking down on spiral staircase from Deck 11. Deck 11 view from the Conservatory. 3

I sailed on CELEBRITY SOLSTICE in 2008 when she was brand new and took this pic. Honestly I can’t remember if water was running down it or not. Hard to believe it was 15 years ago, and stranger that I never returned to a Solstice Class ship after that cruise. I’m finally returning to one next month on SILHOUETTE.
nps001 Posted September 21, 2023 #4 Share Posted September 21, 2023 I have sailed the inaugurals on each of the S-class ships and never have I seen water flow from this tile "fountain" I too thought it looked like it should have had water.
Rare hcat Posted September 21, 2023 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2023 The Conservatory and small Flower shop..both lovely.. morphed into Restaurant areas on those ships. Royak C ships ised to have fresh flower carts along a balc area where you could buy or order. Now we can't even order flowers for the stateroom on X website anymore. I will grab a small bouquet to bring on board. In general, cut flowers these days are expensive, but a small vase with blooms still a good buy at PUBLIX..local supernarket in Fla. Hoping AQ Class still has small vase with long lastinv flower and Cap Club still sends a a nice Rose in bud vase!

It's such a strange looking feature.
