SPacificbound Posted September 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2023 Best places to hang out and read that are not the pool or solarium? 🙂
Rare RobInMN Posted September 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2023 During the day, Safari Club (/LIbrary/CongoBar). Might be different in the Caribbean, but on the Arctic Circle, Iceland/Ireland, there was almost never anything going on in there during the day.
BND Posted September 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2023 Def back in the Safari club. We did Caribbean on Jewel last year and other than setting up for the art auction some days, it's usually pretty empty. There are also seats all around the Centrum. Also, the Viking Crown (Vortex) is where we go sometimes. Schooner bar is usually quiet during the day. We're back on Jewel in three weeks and expect it to be too cold to sit outside and read (which we prefer) so we usually sit in the VCL or DL. As long as we don't get a guy like we had on EN in April who watched videos on his phone without ear buds.

goldfish65 Posted September 28, 2023 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2023 (edited) Deck 12 port aft, there is a little alcove with a few wooden deck chairs, shady and you can sit facing the ocean. Promenade deck 5 is also a quiet place to relax and read. Edited September 28, 2023 by goldfish65

I was on this cruise too and went there, in the Safari Club to do some reading on my phone as it was good reception back there too.
