Since coming to NY in April, I am curious about the best/earliest time in YC you were onboard.

I can tell you in two weeks.

From numerous past experiences in US around 11.  We've also been on trips where general boarding already started.  After security they normally take you to a lounge or roped off section to check in.  Then groups escorted by butlers to Top Sail.

 

I've read zero of experience past luggage in Brooklyn.

I sailed from Brooklyn last month.  The time you are allowed to board is actually dependent on how quickly they have cleared the ship of previous guests.  We were allowed to board around 10 am.  We were escorted to Top Sail Lounge where we had drinks and light snacks.  As your suite is ready you will be escorted from Top Sail to your cabin.  It was all very professionally done.

Met port staff outside, he checked a list. We were escorted by port staff through security to the separate YC checking. After check-in by port staff introduced to the butlers in the YC waiting room where there were liquid and solid refreshments. These butlers may not be your actual assigned butler. When the ship started boarding we were escorted by a butler on board to the Top Sail Lounge. We had lunch first as we boarded at 11a and after drinks the restaurant opened at Noon so why not. 

Our bags actually beat us to the room, or junior butler had already moved them inside from the hallway.
