cruz lover Posted October 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2023 Hi all, Looking for info on how a deck 4 cabin is on the Pearl near the medical center. Is it quiet? loud from tendering? Do you feel the rough seas? Thanks in advance for any comments.
julig22 Posted October 3, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2023 I was on the Pearl years ago, through the Panama Canal. Deck 4 porthole, first forward cabin. No noise from tendering, cabin too far forward for any passenger traffic. Some noise, guessing it was the anchor dropping but could have been other stuff needed to maneuver. Rough seas - well we had to avoid Mexico because of a hurricane so yea, seas were rough, don't know if it was any better or worse than anywhere else on the shiip. BUT not a good location if you are claustrophobic - your window can go underwater in rough seas. 1 1
Rare www3traveler Posted October 3, 2023 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2023 Years ago, I had a cabin on Deck 4 next to the gangway. Very noisy almost every day and had to fight through crowds of people to get into or out of my cabin. Lesson learned-- have NEVER booked a cabin on Deck 4 since then. Rare schmoopie17 Posted October 3, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2023 Is deck 5 any better, considering it's right below a number of public areas?

Not Pearl, but Star with a similar layout. I was under the casino and didn't hear a thing. Under Stardust might be worse though but have no experience of that.
