Going from Sin to KUL in Nov. (Solo male with carry-on and backpack)

These are my best options according to Google:

For $3 more, i'm thinking Malindo Air. It has more legroom.
Although i'm 5'9" and don't need the extra legroom, i'm assuming that more legroom means they Nickle and dime you less with gotcha scummy fees?

Which airline would you take/avoid?

Even as an aerospace engineer who is obviously a big fan of planes, I'll ask it...why fly? If you're purely going between Singapore and KL, and especially if you're going city centre to city centre, there are several companies offering really, really nice buses between the two cities for even less than those prices, and you don't need to deal with getting to/from airports, dealing with security, etc. I think it takes 4-5 hours or so, including immigration. I have taken Transtar and had good experiences.
