Paradise Lotto Draw

I just noticed this on My Journeyview Activities Timeline

It says Paradise Lotto Draw at Gatsbys Casino

"For as little as $2 pick 5 numbers and if you match all 5 of them, you could walk away with over $467 000 jackpot prize. Tickets available at Casino Cashier until 1055 pm"

Does anyone have any insight into how this works? Do they draw the winner that night? Or is is it every night they do a draw? Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have been on 57 Princess cruises and am in the casino every night. The pull numbers every night and I have never heard anyone win the whole thing. The odds are as bad if not worse than stateside power ball. Last week the amount for matching every number was close to half million. You are more likely to be hit by lightning bolts

There's a draw every night. While I've been r met or heard of anyone winning the jackpot - my partner has won a couple hundred bucks on it a couple different times.

Even the last night of sailing has a draw (assuming the casino is open that late) and if you miss the draw, you can check the numbers online, even when home. There's a procedure to verify your ticket and send it in for payment, if you're off the ship by the time you check it out

It's basically a standard lottery.

The lottery is across the fleet AFAIK.  So if each ship is drawing numbers each night, IDK how much of the jackpot is won on a single ship.  Actually, this sounds weird, so I am not sure how it really works - I did ask one time a while back in the casino.

If memory serves, the top prize is across all the lines participating - which is how it can get up higher, but doesn't usually get more than 5000k or so, as you have 5 lines, with all their ships, participating daily..

The smaller prizes, ie $250 or $1k, etc are ship based, and can be hit with less numbers.

H

My partner has hit several times. Biggest has been a grand, smallest $250 and that one, we were off ship already so had to send it in, etc..
