Berthing & luggage transfer

We'll be arriving in Vancouver from an Alaskan cruise next summer with Royal Caribbean. Are they usually berthing at Canada Place or are there other cruise terminals farther away from Downtown?

Also, we plan on going to Whistler after the cruise. Does anyone know a luggage transfer service that would take our suitcases to Whistler for us?

Canada Place is the pier in Vancouver.

You could always ship your bags overnight, which would be quite expensive. Why wouldn't you just travel with the bags?

Whistler Shuttle offers bus service to Whistler from Vancouver. They will pick up at most major hotels downtown so you could ask them for a pickup at the Pan Pacific Hotel which is actually attached to Canada Place. Super easy.

Other options would be to hire a car and driver or rent a car and drive yourself. Any of these options would easily accommodate your luggage without having to pay extra to ship them.

We’re a party of 5, so lots of bags as well, obviously, even with a minivan, it could be tight.

Transfer isn‘t an option, as we want to see some stuff on the way to Whistler and will need a car anyways back in Vancouver.

I was just thinking of Japan, where it‘s really easy and pretty cheap to send bags to the next destination. Most of the times, the bags arrive at the next hotel even before you do.

Not anywhere in the US.  I looked a couple of times and it's expensive.
