havanadaydreaming Posted November 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2023 Why? Bathrooms. Loved not having a shower curtain. A+ upgrade. Clean rooms. Great cabin steward. Coffee shop. Just a pleasure to go there almost daily. Italian Guyburgers. Yum. Not the best of the menu but still fun to try. Teppanyaki. Best at sea for me. Spotless furniture and carpeting. MDR. Loooooooved the lasagna. Trying the surf and turf upgrade tonight. Casino. I dont care if its smokey but im an ex bartender. I wanna win! After an extended dry spell i won many hundred dollars last night. I woulda had a little more but i was chasing 1k level. Pro tip: if you have DOU ask for Col EH Taylor bourbon. Good times. Great fun squad. Try to find Pedro from Columbia! Amari bar definitely upheld the Alchemy tradition. Not a fan of the bitter digestif selections myself but nice to see new things. NYC sailaway was a thrill. Im a big fan of the Miami sailaway vibe and this was neck and neck (point reduction for drink packages not valid first couple hours). Great skyscrapers. Great live musicians. Really liked the CD. 12
CruiseAdict218 Posted November 8, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2023 Glad you had a great time, she’s a great ship and I think has ironed out most of its issues from its initial start up. l have sailed twice with one more booked for January.

I'm on the Jan 14th sailing. Looking forward to it....wasn't too concerned about stains on the carpets or furniture.

I've been out of the country for the past month and came home this week to find a casino offer in the mailbox for a "free" 10-night Xmas cruise on Venezia out of NYC beginning 12/18. Booked it immediately along with a few nights in a hotel pre-cruise in the theater district. I love NY at Christmastime. Not to mention how ships are decorated for Christmas. Glad to hear that you liked Venezia.

Heartgrove Posted November 18, 2023 #8 Share Posted November 18, 2023 Currently onboard and attended the Bridge officers Q&A yesterday. The Venezia will be going into drydock sometime in 2025. The issues that have been identified since beginning sailing for Carnival may be addressed at that time.
