Last night we had another wonderful evening at Sette Mari.  That beautiful moon kept us all entranced!  At first it was orange and played Peek-A-Boo behind the clouds.

We were lucky enough to get a photo with the extremely popular Alberto!

Today was the Country Fair.  It was a lot of fun as usual.  It was very well attended.  There were long lines for most departments.  Half of those were in the sun. It was 82°.

We did the Ultimate Island Tour and Explorer Cruise.  This was a 4 hour cruise which ended up being 4.75 hrs due to traffic.  We had a 10-15 minute walk from the ship to the bus.  It was hot out and some groups waited quite a while before being allowed to walk to the bus.  We waited about 10 minutes.  We drove to Marigot, the French side of the Island.  It took about an hour.  We were given 45 minutes free time.

Free Time….Local Beer

We then drove to Simpson Bay for our Lagoon Cruise.  We encountered bumper to bumper traffic.  It took a little over 1 hour to arrive.  The Lagoon Cruise was very nice.  I wish we would have just come here.  The sun had already set so it was beautiful.  Thankfully much cooler.

Good Morning from San Juan!

We had to go through Immigration this morning.  They called us by tours.  It was extremely organized.  No waiting.  We breezed through.  We did the city tour.  It was scheduled for 2.5 hours and took 3.5 hours.  Our tour guide and driver, Clemente was very good.  Our first stop was by the beach.  This picture is of the Atlantic Ocean.

Good Morning from the Sea!

IMG_3342.thumb.jpeg.19d56a7450c626b4f8ff010f614f3204.jpeg

Today is our last day!  They kick us to the curb tomorrow morning.  Last night during turndown service they put the next lucky guests robes in the closet!  After lunch will be the dreaded suitcase on the bed.  Our 3 weeks have flown by yet Rome seems ages ago.  We had a great time and look forward to our adventures next month on the Mariner.  My husband Jim will be joining us on that trip.  Thank you for following.  Crisy

Crisy -  It was a real pleasure to meet you and your sister on our cruise.  Your descriptions have all been spot on and your pictures have all been beautiful.  We got our own suitcases out from under the bed yesterday (Saturday) and have been slowly but steadily transferring items from drawers and closets into the cases.  There are now just the last few items left to put in the cases before placing them outside the door tonight.

We've met tons of nice people onboard (including staff and other passengers) and have had a wonderful time.  We could not have asked for better weather or smoother sailing.  In Captain Marco's remarks last night (Krews Kapers) he even said it was the smoothest crossing he had ever experienced himself.

Although my contributions to this thread were very limited, I certainly appreciated Crusin7's many thoughts and pictures along the way. Regards to everyone who followed along with us on our cruise.

We popped into La Veranda for a final taste of Caviar Sunday.

Look who we passed!!  The Captain announced we would be passing the Mariner in 1 KM.  We each sounded the horn.  See you next month Mariner.

Enjoyed your reports and wonderful pictures. We were in the Splendor this time last year and enjoyed the ship. We will be on the Mariner next year and really looking forward to returning to that ship. The new ships are beautiful, but we like the lay out of the Mariner much better. Hope you enjoy your next cruise.

We ate the Last Supper at Sette Mari. It was delicious as usual.  Spaghetti puttanesca and eggplant parmigiana.  Lip smacking deliciousness!

  • 3 weeks later...

Thank you, @crusin7 for sharing this with us. I was to go on this cruise, but opted out before Final Payment in favor of an Alaskan cruise on Qn. Elizbeth, late this past June.

I had planned to go back to work after that cruise, so leaving for Europe at the start of US holiday season was off the table. I promised myself that if I wasn't employed by November, then I'll book a World Cruise on the Qn. Mary 2 for 2024. I got a job in October. 🤷🏿‍♂️

I am planning a Regent cruise for 2024 however, just still researching where and when.

Cheers!
