Double Points for Single

If a booking is made for two guests and one is a no show, will double points be awarded the guest sailing single?

No, it has to be booked solo. Need to remove the other pax before the ship sails ro get the 1 extra pt.

 

1 pt regular, 1 solo, 1 suite. 3 possible. Not double.

Thanks! I couldn't remove him as it was a free casino cruise in his name. I assumed that's why no double points.

I’d be more worried about being denied boarding without the individual whose name is on the casino certificate.

That's very surprising they didn't charge you full price without him being onboard with you.

 

Casino typically does not allow this and has been known to charge persons credit card on file if the casino member on certificate is a no show.

 

When did you disembark?

We did book a second cabin for him solo so he was on board. It was several months ago but I recently realized he got double points and I didn't.

Ahh, that makes more sense why they didn't charge you, but don't expect that to work again.  You luckily slipped through.  Casino comps are not suppose to work this way.

If the person on the casino comp does not sail, the other passenger is charged full fare.   And they can't get another cabin if the comp is for ONE cabin for TWO people.  So if it somehow slipped through I would say nothing but not expect it to work again.   And the cabin must be booked solo to get the second point.   (Not really double points, as if it is a suite it goes from 2 to 3.)
