sweep2907 Posted November 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2023 Quick question, I'm looking at latest booking a fortnight Caribbean cruise in 2025 and wondered is it possible to disembark and spend a week in Barbados. I'd then want to get on the charter P&O flight a week later? Has anyone done this or know if they allow it?
LA30 Posted November 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2023 We have done it the other way round - a couple of weeks in Barbados and then cruise home. All fine, BUT we did have to arrange and pay for our own flights as P&O reckoned their flight was included in their price for the cruise.
LA30 Posted November 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2023 On the other hand, we are doing the half world cruise to Sydney in January 2024, staying two weeks in Sydney, then flying home. Flights included in the price. But that was booked through a TA. Don't know if that makes any difference.

The reason for that is that the flights are scheduled and not charter, so you can readily pick your return time, and not leave an empty charter seat. sandancer Posted November 15, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 15, 2023 It may be that your travel agent arranged a bespoke package for you. Some travel agents do that.
LA30 Posted November 15, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 15, 2023 Yes, special package I think. Maybe Barbados flights are chartered then, which might make it difficult (or at least more expensive) for the OP.
