Changes to World cruise itinerary

We knew Israel would be gone, but it looks like we are losing Petra as well....

The overnight in Safaga for Luxor is also gone.  I know the overland tours were already wait listed.  Looks like Crystal thought the risk of spending the night in Luxor was too risky.

I received a forwarded message from my travel agent who got it from Crystal.  She was watching for an itinerary change notice.

I think we still get the overnight in Luxor from Safaga.  The next day the ship will be in Hurghada which is just up the coast from Safaga. We’ll probably be driven back to the ship in Hurghada.

Most assuredly, those 2 ports are just about 50 miles apart.

The same as CruisePfan...my TA forwarded the email from Crystal.

We are booked on Symphony in April for ten days Athens R/T. I received an e-mail on my agent account today saying that out of an abundance of caution all stops in Isreal and surrounding countries were being replaced until further notice. Our overnight in Haifa has been replaced and we will have an overnight in Istanbul, along with other adjustments to the itinerary to make that work. Having never been to Istanbul, we are happy with the change.

Great substitution of Istanbul.  Wonderful city.

 

Safety is the number one priority.  Often it is not only the cruise line involved with this but also the insurance company as I understand has a big say in this for all cruise lines.
