Do you have to give up your Mini Suite to get Reserve class?

My husband and I are going on the Regal Princess in a couple of weeks. We have a great Mini Suite (MA) in the middle of the ship on the Caribe deck. The question is,when we bid for an upgrade to Reserve Class, do we have to change Mini Suites? Thanks for any help you can give us.

Yes because only specific minis are designated Reserve (formerly Club) Class.  If you want to see them on your ship's deck plans, search for those designated categories M1 or M6.  I think the M1s are mid ship on higher decks and the M6s are forward facing on higher decks (there are only a few of them IIRC).

Yes if you change to reserve class you will be assigned a cabin that is part of that class cabin. You cannot just pay for reserve dining and stay in a non reserve cabin
