Princess Grill versus Brittania Cabin - Wardrobe Space?

We are about to embark on our first cruise since before covid and have completely forgotten just how much stuff we usually take.

We splurged on the PG back in 2021 when holidays had been missing for a while and so decided to splash out.   Among the mountains of stuff  we found packed away there is a wall mounted shoe carrier thing and some magnetic hooks so that we could hang it on the wall.  We are wondering now whether you get more wardrobe space (and consequently floor space inside for the shoes) and might dispense with taking it as it's not pretty even if it is practical.

We are also considering taking a fair few clothes on their hangers so we can just open the case and hang them up directly but have a vague memory that there was a sort of fixed track thing rather than a rail (that might be a false memory or maybe just in one part of the wardrobe).

Could any kind person give me some advice as to the amount of wardrobe space compared to a standard Britannia cabin.

Many thanks in advance.

Which Ship? - On QE & QV you have a large open hanging space with lots of room, 2/3 the width of the cabin with a full width shelf above and a single full height large cupboard with plenty of shelf space.

From experience…Closet and wardrobe space in PG on QM2 is significantly more than Britannia cabins. Three wardrooms and a very generous walk-in closet.
Weird thing is open storage for the bedside tables instead of drawers that close. No big deal, just different.

On QE you get much more space. There's a long open wardrobe/hanging rack in the 'changing area' outside the bathroom. Lots of space for shoes underneath, as well as the shelves for storage. The cabin images on the Cunard website are pretty accurate - the ones that come up under "Accommodation" when you're making a dummy booking

I'll also add that we take along a couple of magnetic hooks as Jane's longer gowns can drag on the floor and use them to hang those from the ceiling

Don’t you get kept awake by a swishing sound every time the ship moves?
