We will be on the Marina, March 5th from Buenos Aires to Miami.  We will be flying into Buenos Aires March 1st.  This will be our first trip to Argentina. We will be staying at the Park Towers Hotel, which I believe is close to the cruise terminal .  Any advice or tips would be hugely appreciated.

Not so much Buenos Aires itself, but we're on the same trip (until Rio) and also arriving on the 1st. We're sacrificing some time in the city in order to go to Iguazu Falls for a couple of days. Although that only leaves us with ~ 1 1/2 days in BA, the falls look to be a "can't miss" destination, and only a short flight away.

If you are looking for most any type of tour in or on the outskirts of BA, contact BAcultural Concierge:

BA Cultural Concierge – Insightful Travel Experiences. It is run by Madi Lang an expat from Bethesda, Maryland. We spent a couple of days touring with her and her team several years ago. They have a U.S. phone number listed on their website if you want to call and see what they have to offer.

The OP is unfortunately staying well outside of the main part of town. Be careful!

Definitely agree on Iguazu Falls. Not to be missed!  We contacted the Concierge of our hotel and they recommended a couple different guides. The lady we chose did a great job.

We have likewise contacted the Concierge at our Tokyo and Kyoto hotels for recommendations on tours and guides. Getting great options from them.

All of the above were well below Viator prices.

Yes, Iguazu Falls is worth a visit. In BA, we just enjoyed walking to see many enjoyable sites. We aslo did a show at Esquina Carlos Gardel (we are dancers).

We just had an enjoyable half day tour with a company that I got thru Viator called Depasseios. The tour guide was Diego for a private four hour tour on the highlights of Buenos Aires. He was a pleasure to be in his company with plenty of  knowledge of the country and the politicians who ran it into the ground. Also a very safe driver and most courteous.Jeffrey L. and Elsie from Florida
