UPDATE ON CELEBRATION?

Can someone on the ship update the current situation?  I'm on my way to Miami now and it's not sounding promising.

Looks like it's still sitting off the coast so yeah everything will be backed up at least 4 hours today I would assume, that might be a conservative guess,  all depends when it can get in.  The horizon came in a bit ago I believe.

Not on the ship, sorry. Many on the ship are scrambling to rearrange travel, so checking in on cc probably not a high priority for them. Celebration should be next up to dock. Should dock between 1 and 2pm. Horizon just docked. Then the waiting game begins. Your embarkation will be further delayed. Not sure why communications from Carnival have stopped. Have a great cruise after you get through with today's mess.

Carnival has been providing updates approximately every two hours since early this morning. They said next update would be by 2pm.

Hello, 

 

I am currently on her waiting to disembark. They have let the people with priority, Diamonds, Suite, Platinum, and FTTF gather in their appointed place. As a platinum (strictly for reference) they have let the folk carrying their own luggage line up. The rest of us are still waiting for notification that our bags are in the terminal awaiting pick up.

 

I feel sorry for the next folks boarding. I hope that other than this they have a smooth wonderful cruise. In the meantime, it sucks for them.

PS, as for those of us still on board from last week, Carnival has taken very good care of us. Breakfast and lunch venues open, some bars, gym, spa...

Ty. I’m trying to get on. The lines are a mile long and they have no idea when they will let people upstairs to board. Everyone has to be on board by 10:00. I wonder if we’ll miss a port. Glad I got the drink package.

We got off Celebration today around 2:40 (Platinum with self debarkation). Despite the weather, we had a great cruise. That ship handled the seas very well. We're almost home; it's been a long day. Miami traffic was miserable this afternoon but we had no issues last Sunday morning when we arrived.
