splinkaone Posted December 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2023 We Cruise in February on NCL Bliss. Which port has better whale watching Cabo San Lucas or Puerto Vallarta? In Cabo we're in port 6:45-2:00, PV is an afternoon port. 😊 Thanks
CruiserBruce Posted December 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2023 This is asked here quite frequently. Cabo, generally, because you can see whales from the ship. And, in most cases, you won't have to sail far on a excursion boat.
ATSEAMYLIFE Posted December 31, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2023 Cabo will be much better. Sadly Guerrero Negro is to far away. It's the birthing spot for whales. The mothers will bring their babies right up to the boat to be petted. There's dozens of videos on Youtube. We haven't done it yet but it's on the list. February they start heading north but it still should be good watching. We usually start seeing them in front of our condo around mid/end of February going north. Rare Hlitner Posted January 1 #4 Share Posted January 1 Those port hours (often awful with NCL) will pose a real problem, if you want to find a local whale watching tour. You might want to consider doing a NCL Excursion,..assuming they offer a whale watching option. Hank
Rare L1211 Posted January 1 #5 Share Posted January 1 A you book a whale watching boat right from the pier in Cabo? We’re just there 7-2 - ugh…

Is that what you are asking? Typically, yes. Whale watch tours are usually 2-3 hours tops. You have time.
