Viking Ocean New Years Eve

Does anyone have any insight into New Years Eve on Viking Ocean ships?

Will it just be like any other night or will a special New Years Eve celebration be planned?

The fun begins at 10pm, after the show in the Star Theater. Viking loves celebrations and NYE is one of their best. I think I've been to four of them and each one was slightly different.  The first few were in the Atrium/Living Room. The next was a hybrid with the main party in the Atrium and broadcast on the TV screens at the Pool. 

 

The latest one we attended was during Covid and it was entirely at the Pool. We were anchored in Cabo San Lucas and at midnight we watched the local fireworks.

 

Jan 1, the party usually continues with some sort of buffet.

and some prefer to cheer them on

In 2021/22, the buffet was set up in the World Cafe because we were only 400 pax

Thanks for your info, and photos.  Boarding Star 28 December Hawaiian Islands Sojourn. Will be in middle of Pacific NYE, so don't think we'll see any fireworks!  Looking forward to a festive NYE party, and New Year's Day.
